Your Stay Guide →Your own little retreat.
This little corner of the world has been a labor of love for us. My husband and I purchased these 11 acres in 2017 and began making them our own—clearing land, bringing in utilities, and dreaming about what this place could become.
In 2019, we moved into the very guest house you’re staying in now. It was our home until 2023, and it holds a special place in our hearts. We began building the house just to the south in 2022 and moved there the following year, leaving this cozy space ready for its next chapter: welcoming you.
We’re happy to share a place that means so much to us. We hope you settle in, make yourself comfortable, and enjoy a little of the peace we’ve found here.

Please park where the white truck is shown, to the right of the garage door when facing the building. Keep the garage door and the driveway directly in front of it clear.
An old elm. A new chapter.
When our 60-foot elm succumbed to Dutch elm disease, we weren’t quite ready to say goodbye. Instead of removing it completely, we had the remaining trunk carved into an underwater scene, with a whale, a dolphin, sea turtles, and coral.
What was once a much-loved tree now brings a little of the ocean to our corner of the Ozarks. We hope you enjoy discovering its details during your stay.
